Full Tank, No Destination

Got a full tank paycheck spin Napper bielling where it thinks I went But I turned that off about a mile ago Let the white lines talk, let the wind just blow Worthin' loud, I've been too wired Chasin' things that just made me tired So I threw my phone in the glovebox bin Said a road, old friend Take it from here again I don't know where this black top ends I'm heading back to feel like me again Full tank, no destination Just a backbeat hum in a small town station I know I've arrived when I get there Somewhere past where it passed, don't you dare Just following the vibe and sometimes a road Chasing that peace where the sky turns gold No big plan, just a heart in motion Full tank, no destination Last three exercises I was supposed to take One for work, one for some blind day faith Instead I found a diner with a neon sign Pie on the counter and a handmade open line Old man talking about fish and grates Waitress with a tired but kind soft face I left a big tip, bought a two go coffee Felt more at home than in my own old office Sometimes you gotta lose your right on purpose To find what's under all that surface No destination just a tool ain't him in a crackler stations I'll know I've arrived when I get there some little town with a slow night air just following the vibe and sometimes a road letting the good Lord lighten this load no big plan just a soul in motion full tank no destination One day I'll turn this truck back home Here's my girl, tell her where I run But she'll see it in my eyes before I speak Some miles ain't wasted Though the prayers you keep full tank no destination just a heart tuning for recalibration i know i've arrived when i get there where the noise dies down and the sky feels fair just following the vibe and sometimes the road letting these mile markers loosen my load if you're looking for me i'm in transit sun full tank Hmm
