Passenger Queen

She says you're the wheel man, I'm the snack pack Got a blanket I'll string, Kenny in her lap, feet on the dash, hat turned back, phone in her hand, film in every scene She's my everything She's my passenger queen in the shotgun throng Ruling this king from a crack cell phone DJ of the playlist when we're up snacks Finger on the camera catching all my lads I'll take the miles, she'll take the view Drinking her hand, wearing my old blue She says, princess, but if you ask me That girl's my one and only passenger queen She's in there right in some sense on the county line. Turning gas stations into story time. Swimming in clothes on my tired old grandson. Turn left here when the map says in. Storm rolls in, wipes keep the beat. She's stacking cups and wrappers at her feet. Cause every little giggle when the road gets rough, make a long day short and the hard time softens. My passenger queen in the shotgun thrones. Ruling this kingdom from a crack cell phone. DJ of the playlist. I'll take a mile, she'll take the view Drinking her hand wearing my own blue, she says princess But if you ask me, that girl's my one One day we'll be gray with a slower pace Same old trucks, same front seat face Kids grown up, living their own scene But you're still right shotgun like the day one And I'll still say, baby I got the drive You just be the reason these roads feel alive You're my passenger queen in the shotgun throne. Ruling my heart from the front rows on DJ. The playlist ruler of the snacks. Keeper of the stories playing back to back. I'll take the miles. You take the view. Every little town feels brand new with you. Call it princess. Joke if you please, but you'll always be mine. If there's roads in this old machine There's a driver in love With his passenger queen
