Alarm at six it's a war crime sound Trip on my shoes just to hit the ground Email pings like a heart attack Circle back let's touch base I want my life back Got a fridge full of food I can't pronounce Student loans I can't even count Everyone's talking about a five-year plan I just wanna nap and play in a band They said enjoy it now kid it goes too fast Cause I don't wanna be a grown-up Clock it in just to count the minutes Wearing shirts that I don't care about Small talk, smile till my soul taps out I miss all night games and Friday mall Eating junk and ignoring calls You can keep your suits and your 401 stuff I don't, I don't wanna be a grown-up Went, went up in my pasted flat Neighbors mad cause I laughed too loud in my cat Core broke down now my cards declined Welcome to adulthood, yeah I've seen the sign Friends talk kids and engagement rings I still lose stocks and forget key things They're all meal prep and gym at nine I'm like, it's too energy, drink the crime they said A grown up paying bills just to stay behind it Answering calls from unknown numbers Talking about goals when I need more slumber I miss some breaks in the basement bed Skate park plans and no real plans You can keep your network and fake ass brunch I don't, I don't wanna grow up that much Maybe don't buddy real They're just better at pretending they're not losing If this is all we get, then that's kinda rough Can we at least make growing up less tough?
